Jonathan’s family is on a camping trip on a remote northern California island when his mother injures her ankle. The 12-year-old reassures his parents he and his 6-year-old disabled sister will be fine while they are away seeking treatment for her injury. However, before the grownups can return, an earthquake takes out the only bridge, demolishes their supplies and Abby‘s walker--and causes a river to flood the island.
