How much can one middle schooler love baseball? For Jeremiah the answer is with all his heart. But Jeremiah has learned he has a heart condition that could kill him. That means no more playing ball. No more being a part of the sport he loves.
Jeremiah and his dad move to a new town which means a new school. Turns out that at this school and in this town, baseball is king. The high school team players of ten years ago are still admired for their athletic prowess and wins. So he has arrived at a baseball mecca and he can't even play the game.
But, he can still be part of the baseball scene. Jeremiah shows up for baseball at his school and finds himself turning into a coach... a highly valued coach.
With the death of a well-known young player, the town starts to lose its heart for baseball. Is winning a game all that matters?
Just how strong is Jeremiah's heart? Is it big enough to save a town?
