Twenty-two years ago, in the middle of a highly contested baseball game between the town of Moundville and their greatest rival town, Sinister Bend, the rain started. It hasn't stopped since that day. Twelve-year-old Roy McGuire has lived with all that rain until the day he goes home and finds a stranger on his couch. The stranger is his new foster brother, Sturgis. After a few days of Sturgis being around, the sun comes out. What's going on? This is going to be a summer of change and a whole new baseball game between the two towns.
