The Book That Changed My Life 71 Remarkable Writers Celebrate the Books that Matter Most to Them

This is definitely a book for readers who like to find ideas and hear other people's thoughts and life experiences and to mull over and integrate them into their own viewpoint. Fifteen authors were interviewed by editor Diane Osen. My favorites were the interviews with David McCullough and Katherine Paterson because I had read their work and was curious about what had influenced them in their lives and consequently in their writing. What did a planeload of Cambodian children create in 1975? Who is Gerard Manley Hopkins, and why do authors revere him and his work? What are authors reaching to and looking for as they journey on, and what are they finding?
