For those who have not read books one and two, this story centers on Sammy whose father is a graphic novel writer and whose mother is a doctor specializing in robotics. Their house is filled with robots who do the household chores...all designed by Mom. Now it seems Mom is getting really busy with her special project. She doesn't notice all the things that are starting to go wrong in the house all around her. Even her robots need a little attention and they aren't getting it. For Sammy it seems like everything is going wrong at home and then at school he is having to cope with a new kid who can't do anything wrong. Sammy is so busy trying to keep the robots from burning down the house that he isn't as focused on his school assignments as he should be and on top of everything he just can't figure out what to do for his science fair project. Good messages about working as a team as a family; working through problems; learning from mistakes; perseverance. Wacky robots create the fun that keeps readers coming back to this series. From the publisher:

Robots on strike! Sammy's underappreciated mechanical helpers are causing chaos in book 3 of the bestselling House of Robots series.

After a few early glitches in their relationship, Sammy and his "bro-bot" E are now fast friends. In fact, E is such a valued member of the family that the other electronic occupants of the House of Robots are feeling sorely unappreciated. And when Sammy's inventor mom becomes distracted by a top-secret project, the robots soon begin to fall into disrepair.

Cue a robot revolt, with the droids wreaking harmless havoc in the house! Armed with pranks like glue in the shampoo bottles and flying toast missiles, the robots demand to be cared for. It's up to Sammy and his disabled sister Maddie to keep the peace until his mom reveals her secret project...and why it was worth the wait.
