Joe and Nancy are twins celebrating their eleventh birthday in the circus, where
they have been raised, when they get a message telling them they need to rescue their mother
and father who are stuck in another dimension. In order to rescue their parents, Joe and Nancy
must put together a robot which has been disassembled and the parts are in various locations.
They also must protect the key that will open the secret door and free their parents. They come
in contact with aliens disguised as others who want to stop Joe and Nancy and take over the
world. The two come up against Boppo the clown, a mean wolf, Leonardo Dubenski, Lord of
the Thieves, and others who try to stop the children from rescuing their parents.
I highly recommend this book for Middle and Older Readers. It will make for a good read aloud
because the chapters are not long and each chapter is written by a different author. Each chapter
ends right in the middle of a suspenseful part of the story, which makes the reader want to keep
reading until the book is finished. There is humor and suspense with lots of action!
