“Man, I just don’t feel free anymore. I can’t do what I wanna do.  I’m trapped.  I think…I think I need to break up with her.”  But, what’s a guy to do?  It’s hard to break up with the former love of your life.  How do you break the news?

What if you could send a messenger to do the dirty work for you? What if someone else would do the breaking up?  In a few short minutes Quentin has a business plan.  He’ll take the message of heartbreak to the intended recipient for a basic fee of twenty bucks.  If you want the deluxe package of chocolates and flowers, you’ll have to pay more.

So begins a string of breakups delivered by the Heartbreak Messenger.  Quentin’s reputation precedes him.  Everyone knows if he shows up on their doorstep it means someone is calling it quits.

Quentin gets quite an education in the way of love and romance.  Not that he has any interest in getting involved with anyone. Not that there is anyone he would want to get involved with.

This is a funny, lightweight story of a guy who is figuring out the whole taking care of someone else, understanding what it’s like to stand in someone else’s shoes while at the same time finding himself in some complicated and occasionally dangerous situations with unhappy customers.

Perfect for tweens and young teens who are curious about the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing but for now who prefer to just be friends.
