Henry Huggins Henry Huggins

Henry Huggins
Nothing exciting ever happens to Henry Huggins until he meets a skinny old dog named Ribsy and the two become great friends. Ribsy will change Henry's life from the very beginning. When Henry finds Ribsy, he calls home and asks if he can keep him. Bring him home on the bus his mothers tells him. So, Henry tries. The bus driver tells him to get a box for the dog. Henry's box doesn't quite meet the standard so he goes back and gets paper and string to wrap Ribsy in. Ribsy is destined to tear through that paper sending apples, pots and pans and hoses flying around the bus. Then a squad car pulls up and an officer demands to know if there's a Henry Huggins riding this bus? There's something happening now! Several adventures follow. This is hilarious though it was written back in 1950. 192 pages
