Lose the race or lose a friend? Fourth-grader Mina has just moved to a new town and a new school and she really wants to fit in. Happily she finds herself a group of friends who shares sleepovers, parties and even a friendship ball of yarn that grows with each get together. But friendships can unravel and when Mina goes to the tryouts for the track team she learns something new about herself. She can run and run fast. Her friend, Ruth, however, has always been the best runner in the class and Ruth loves to win. What would you do?
