This time Owen, now age 8, has seen plastic vomit and poop in a catalog and decided he can't live without them. His problem is that he has no money. Now he has to figure out how to earn the money. He tries teaching a workshop on the wonders of the toilet but that doesn't net much. After a few more less than stellar attempts at moneymaking, Owen volunteers to help his neighbor to dig a fish pond. Along with the laughs and the fun, are the underlying lessons about hard work and persistence. The Owen Foote series continues.
