Ivy June's name got picked from the jar and she's going to be the ambassador from Thunder Creek to the school in Lexington, Kentucky. Catherine is going to be the ambassador from Lexington. Each girl will spend two weeks living in the other girl's home and going to the other girl's school. Their lives are very different and they'll each keep a journal and talk about what the differences are between their two worlds. Catherine lives in a house filled with luxuries that Ivy June has not known. Ivy June lives in the hollow in the mountains with no indoor plumbing and no phone. Some things about their lives are very different but there are some things that don't change no matter where you live or how much money you have.
