Reaching For Sun

Taunts and loneliness are the companions of Josie Wyatt everyday at school. She is different. She is in middle school, and she has cerebral palsy. At home her Gran sews seed, makes magical meals, and cares for her "friends" at the nursing home, Lazy Acres. A new development of mansions is springing up on the land that used to be Josie's family farm, and, one day, Jordan, a new occupant, comes charging into Josie's life in search of a butterfly. A true friendship begins. This is a year of change for Josie as she finds new eyes that see her own power and the richness of the world around her.
