A Book of Babies is exactly what it sounds like: a sweet little board book that follows a fluffy baby duck as he visits different animal babies on the day they are born. Several different types can be found on his route: zebras, ducks, sea horses, polar bears, fish, monkeys, and more. The duckling gets to see all of the differences between the new babies, as well as the things that are the same across the species.

The illustrations are darling and eye-catching; definitely the most appealing aspect of the book. Adults and kids alike will love the unique style of the pictures. With just one simple line of text per page, this is a read-aloud best suited to younger children, particularly those who are expecting a new sibling.

*Thoughts from a 3-year-old: My son loves animals, and he loves babies. This was a hit that had him cooing and exclaiming over each new baby that he found.
