For everyone who loved the Caldecott Honor Award winning ONE COOL FRIEND, here comes more fun but this time instead of tucking away penguins, we are looking at the enormous task of hiding a lion. Our story begins when a lion wanders into town to buy a hat.  Unfortunately what is an ordinary day for the lion turns into an extraordinary day  for the townspeople and they chase him away with great fervor.  This is one of those that's good, that's bad situations because luckily he finds his way to Iris' house and  Iris instantly sees he needs help and looks for a place for him to hide.

Where does one hide one's newly acquired lion in one's house so as not to be noticed by mom or dad?  Perhaps behind the shower curtain?  Perhaps on a tree branch?  Clever Iris uses her wits to stash her lion from room to room in hopes that he will never be discovered.  A lion of noble character, a plucky heroine and illustrations that will hark you back to the days of one well-known young lady named Madeline join forces to deliver a gentle adventure tale that will be read night after night at bedtime or just for fun at storytime.

Will her parents find him?  Can she keep him? This is a lovely, gentle adventure story lives at the child's eye level and will delight time after time.
