Woohooo!  It's time to go to the supermarket.  That wonderful place where the doors swing wide all by themselves and we push our cart up and down the aisles in search of everything we need for dinner on Monday, and Tuesday and Wednesday....

We're going to explore the fruits and vegetables and the peanut butter aisle. We'll go looking in the dairy cases and then search the aisles of brightly colored cans.  We need to get the soap and the paper products.  So many things go in our shopping cart.

Best of all we get the flour, sugar and the all important little sugar sprinkles because tomorrow is a very special day and we're going to make something very special with the ingredients we are buying today at the supermarket.

This is a great introduction read aloud for preschoolers who are learning about shopping and where food comes from and the community they live in.

A re-make of the 1979 issue.  978-0805076622  Ages 2-5  32 pages
