Creepy Carrots

Reviewed by Katy Manck on October 17, 2012.

Carrots! Jasper Rabbit loves, loves, loves carrots, so he wants the very best ones. Every day on his way to school, on the way to baseball practice, on his way home, he visits Crackenhopper Field to munch on the crispiest carrots of them all.

But one day, the carrots started following Jasper home! He heard carroty thumps behind him, but nothing was there when he turned around. He saw “creepy carrots” under the bed, in the tub, in the shed! But when Dad or Mom looked with him, there were no creepy carrots there.

Jasper knows that creepy carrots are real – what can he do to keep them away? Readers and read-to-me listeners will delight in the young bunny’s clever solution to the problem as they try to spot the orange clues amid the black and white illustrations before those sneaky Creepy Carrots hide again.
