Why is crocodile crying?  Can you really trust a crocodile?  The other animals want to help, but realize it might be dangerous to get too close.  Curiosity does finally cause a big problem for the black rhino.  Endangered animals and the destruction of their habitat are the underlying themes in this story which ends with a humorous conclusion.  The glossary featuring each animal in the story blends fact with fiction.  An author’s note explaining his motivation for writing the story and giving advice for preserving the environment accompanies the book.
