Oh what a wonderful day "in the Bronx, in the land of Third Avenue, in the Kingdom of New York City." Meet seven year old Iris who has a big sister who is a fortune teller, a mother who is always busy and a father who is named Papi the Clever because he can fix anything. Today they are all going to get ready to go to the Enchanted Lake. Getting ready requires the special skills of the entire family and at last they pile into their trucks and form a caravan dog and all. Now Papi always takes the back roads because they are better to break down on and it just so happens that they do break down. Is this a catastrophe? Not at all, every member of this crew can find the silver lining in this supposed bad luck. If this hadn't happened, Papi would certainly not have been able to rotate the tires and Marta the Smart never would have finished the Grimm fairy tale she is reading. Talk about making lemonade out of lemons. These people wrote the book on it and as one problem follows another they go with the flow and make the very best of every little thing. Inspiring.
