One day a lovely little yellow bird with a pink bow in her hair meets a handsome blue bird with a gleam in his eye. It's love at first tweet. Then, lightning strikes and each bird flies to a safe place on a tree branch and thinks about the other bird. Sigh. This was a much nicer day when they were with each other. But as luck would have it they have chosen the same tree and they happily find each other again. So the morning ends and turns into afternoon and reveals two more little stories. Relationships can get a bit complicated even among the best of friends or nestmates and we get a birdseye view as the blue bird is trying very hard to pull a wily worm out of the ground. He needs to concentrate and he can't hear because the lovely yellow bird is talking. The friendship is a bit reminiscent of Elephant and Piggie of Mo Willems fame. Fun! 48 pages
