There Are No Scary Wolves

The little boy in the pajamas with the cars all over them loves to go outside but his mother is always working, working, working around the house and it always has to be "later." Can he go outside all by himself? No, his mother tells him because he is too small and it is "too dangerous." Then, one day, Mom says they are going to go out for an adventure. They'll get his favorite noodles at the Chinese restaurant and they'll even stop at the TOY STORE. So, run, run , run and get ready, get ready, get ready. On go the sweater, the boots and the CAPE -a bright red cape I might add. Is he ever ready to take on the world. But Mom not so much. She can't find her keys. The woman looks everywhere to include the refrigerator and while he waits the little boy decides to try this great big wide world all by himself. Out the door he goes headed to those magical places, the noodle restaurant and the TOY STORE. You know how things go though in that big wide world and when he gets out there all alone he finds wolves running the restaurant and wolves behind the counter of the TOY STORE. Home he runs clutching his fears and now it's Mom's turn to reassure him that he CAN go out into the big world with her and those wolves will be no where to be found....or will they? A great story about how big the world seems to children who can't claim the power of being so independent in their world quite yet. It will resonate all the way to the heart. 40 pages Ages 4-7
