One night Mr. Bigbuttons finds a kitten alone on the school playground and brings her in to the kindergarten classroom. J. Patrick Lewis’s story in rhyme tells of the kitten’s (Tinker Toy) acclimation to the class and classroom, joining in on the learning with her inflected mewing. This is a delightful book which will have every kindergartener looking under the playground equipment for a kindergarten cat for his or her classroom.
