A young African American boy and his father are walking on the beach. The boy draws a picture of a lion in the sand and his father names it Sandy. Then the father goes to sit in the sand while the boy goes exploring. Don't go in the water he tells him and don't leave Sandy. So the little boy takes a stick and as he wanders down the beach he drags his stick in the sand and makes Sandy's tail get longer and longer. In fact it reaches over an old sand castle and past a ghost crab. Suddenly, he doesn't know where his father is. How can he find his way back safely?
