Ah the magic of believing it can happen and of having a great imagination. This is a family with a lovely garden and a little girl who helps her mother weed and water all the plants. But, if the little girl had her own garden, she would have a very different kind of garden. Her garden would have chocolate rabbits and invisible carrots (she doesn't like carrots). If she planted a seashell, more shells would grow. All kinds of magical and ordinary things would have a place in her garden. Especially things that fly. Can she really make such a garden? Well, just as the little boy in Ruth Krauss' Carrot Seed believed in his seed, this little girl has a seed of hope in her garden.

And from Paula Joseph:

If you could have your very own garden, what would you hope to grow? Would you choose carrots or maybe a jellybean bush instead? The absolutely beautiful watercolor pictures and the imagination of the girl in the story make this book a fun choice!
