Rooster has had enough of the chicken feed and when he remembers his great-granny had written a cookbook, he decides to take the cooking into his own beak. Great-granny also known as The Little Red Hen, had all kinds of problems getting support if you recall. Rooster tries Dog, Cat and Goose but just like Granny-no help there. Iguana, Turtle and Pot-bellied Pig don their chef hats (hilarious) and are ready to stir, measure and munch. There seem to be some communication issues though-the animals misunderstand the directions and take them somewhat literally a la our friend Amelia Bedelia which creates a hilarious atmosphere. Let the cooking begin...cook-a-doodle-do! 48 pages
