Cheyenne Again

Young Bull is a ten year old Cheyenne Native American boy who is having to leave his family and all he knows to go to a boarding school where they will attempt to tame him and make him more like a white man. This is the dark challenge that was handed to Native American children at this time in American history and it is up to the strength of Young Bull's character to hold on to his dignity, his heritage and his identity.

And from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt:

In the late 1880s, a Cheyenne boy named Young Bull is taken from his parents and sent to a boarding school to learn the white man's ways. "Young Bull's struggle to hold on to his heritage will touch children's sense of justice and lead to some interesting discussions and perhaps further research."
