With similes piled upon similes and shapes building upon shapes this book describes the many feelings that live inside one heart. It can be as "bothered as a bull" or as "Quiet as a caterpillar wearing knitted socks." The caterpillar is built of heart shapes all the way down to its feet. This is very reminiscent of Lois Ehlert's books with the bold, bright colors and the use of shapes to design animals. A great read aloud for talking about all of our different states of being and vivid feelings.
