Bees and chicks and kitties are out playing and romping in the sunshine. "Kitty, kitty, kit cat. Skit, skit scat." The sun gests hot...hot...hotter. It's time for a "snuggle, snuggle, sleepy shine. Lazy..dozy.snoozy..wooooooozy." Oh, no. It's raining. Everyone gets soggy. Plenty of big, bright illustrations are paired with onomotopoiac text. Great read aloud. If you promote literacy in your storytimes, this is a great book for demonstrating phonological awareness.
