A young girl is playing on the beach when she looks up and sees a cloud flying in overhead. It's an orange cloud and is like nothing she's ever seen before. Running to get her mother the two hike down the beach and into the woods with the hope of solving the mystery. Where is that orange cloud? What is it made of? They spy a glimpse of orange here and there but they turn out to be Baltimore Orioles and orange leaves. The text is poetic and the pictures are watercolor. The whole book vibrates. Then mother and daughter explode into a place that is filled with "golden-orange bits." They are not leaves; they are butterflies. The trhill is visceral and the wonder is amazing. This book captures the magic and the amazement of monarchs in migration. "Let's find out, Mom says." Ages 5-9  32 pages
