Frog Scientist Frog Scientist

Frog Scientist
Do you love to hear the frogs and toads call in the spring? Do you know that our little amphibious friends are in trouble? Their populations are dropping and scientists are studying them to try to understand what is happening in their world. One dedicated scientist, is Tyrone Hayes, an African American man who overcame the discrimination iof his youth in South Carolina. His father was a carpet installer who "encouraged Tyrone's interest in science." His good grades and high test scores got him in to Harvard and now he studies frogs and toads and works to understand why they are dying and what we can do to save them. The pictures in this book are phenomenal. You are really up close and personal with frogs.
