Is your young listener fascinated by dinosaurs? Some of those dinosaurs were really, really big. But just how big were they. It can be hard for a child’s mind to grasp the size of a dinosaur and this book offers great comparisons. A Seismosaurus for example was as long as four school buses lined up end to end. Wow! That’s pretty big. Brachiosaurs may have weighed 160, 000 pounds. How big is that? Well, an elephant weighs 10,000 pounds so this dinosaur would weigh as much as 16 elephants. How great to be able to explain the concept of the size of these beasts in terms a young child can understand.
