Alec Flint, though still in elementary school, is a super-sleuth. His father, Officer Flint, has been called to the American History Museum where he is to guard the Christopher Columbus exhibit which has suddenly gone missing. At school Alec's teacher disappears, and her closet is mysteriously locked.
