It's March, 1912, on the streets of Belfast, Ireland, where Paddy Burns has just landed a brilliant punch against Daniel Sullivan, sending Daniel crashing into an onlooker. It's life on the streets as usual for this pair of comrades, each on the run. But this time, the scam they run together to pick ripe pockets gives them wealth they never imagined and that in turn, sends them in search of a place to hide. Paddy finds himself loaded as cargo onto a floating palace known as the Titanic.

The cast of characters who will sail on this fateful voyage are assembling.  Sophie who has accompanied her suffragette mother to England is glad to be on board and headed back to America where at least when her mother is thrown in jail for her unladylike protests, father is on hand to bail her out. The lovely Julianna Glamm is headed to America with her father the Earl, a man of great lineage and a love of gambling. Young Alfie has lied about his age to join the crew of the Titanic so he can work alongside his Da as the Titanic makes her way out into the ocean for her maiden voyage. The stage is set. Now, who will survive to tell the story of this magnificent liner's final hours. 170 pages Ages 8-12

This book was really good! It started it out a little boring, but once I got into it I couldn't put the book down.
