After having brought her human mother and merman father together in the first book of the series, Emily has now moved with her parents to an island in the Bermuda Triangle. She nervously makes friends in her new world and then quickly finds herself struggling again with trying to fit in. Her curiosity leads her into an underwater cave where Emily inadvertently awakens a sea monster.
