The young boy has wandered away from his farm and gets caught up in the violent storm that comes up. He is sheltered by a badger, who has just lost her own young. This is a story of a boy and a mother badger who find each other and become "family" for each other down in the badger's hole. They learn to communicate and take care of each other. Will the boy ever find his way back to the farm?
