Take a rebellious fairy named Tiki and put her up against the dark a powerful forces of the Fairy Queen and her henchmen, and you have the feel of this compelling story. Tiki meets Jan, a human who wants so much to have her own baby, and decides to help her against the wishes of the Queen. Jan and her husband will get their baby and it will arrive with some magical blue hairs on the back of its neck due to a slight mix up. Tiki will be locked up in a hornet's nest. Tension and suspense build in this magical world as the story unfolds. It's written by the author of The Indian In The Cupboard, and she brings a dignity and a depth to the tale that is missing in some of the more modern fairy offerings.
