The Goddess of Books has smiled upon us and here is her latest gift.  "Every librarian is a highly trained agent.  An expert in intelligence, in counterintelligence, Boolean searching and hand-to-hand combat."  Steve Brixton has just found out what he's up against.  These dangerous Librarians think he's a detective in the employ of Mr. E and they want him to find the Maguffin Quilt which by the way holds all of America's secrets to include the recipe for Heinz ketchup and who killed JFK.  So, armed with his handy Bailey Brothers' Detective Handbook, he will escape police custody, find himself accused of treason, face down the dangerous Doug Grabes at the Red Herring bar, and worm his way out of some tight knots and even drive his first car.  It's non-stop crisis and brilliantly written slapstick humor.  This is laugh out loud stuff and the good news is it looks like it's going to be a series.  This is a real find.
