What a great way to encourage children to pretend and use their own imaginations.  Hooray!   I have a feeling a lot of parents are going to be down on their knees being flatbed trucks after a few readings of this one.  This is one of those books that has the thicker pages-somewhere in between a board book and regular paper- and it would make a great early reader.  As we begin, a young boy is pretending he is a backhoe.  He loves trucks and page after page he becomes a crane or a dump truck or a bulldozer.   He pushes his toys, lifts his bear and carries a box of his belongings on his back.  Then, Dad comes along and loads his boy onto his back.  He's a flatbed truck making a delivery onto the couch.  Talk about fun!  24 pages
