Swoon At Your Own Risk

Working all summer with her boyfriend seemed like such a good idea when Polly applied as a lifeguard at Wild Waves Waterpark. But then Sawyer broke up with her, and Polly swore off boys, including all the other exes she dated during junior year.

The bills at home are piling up since Dad left them for "some blonde", so Polly’s mom gets a job at Hamburger Heaven instead of staying home with little sister Grace after another year of teaching grade school. Best friend Jane starts seeing a totally unworthy guy, but can Polly be blamed for not calling her all the time while trying to sort out the different boyfriends all school year?

Too bad their grandmother, advice columnist “Miss Swoon”, can’t sort everything out for them, even when she moves into Polly’s room while her condo’s getting fixed (and Polly has to move in with Grace and all her stuffed animals!). And when did Xander down the street turn into a skateboarding hottie? Zzippp, zzippp... (he was such a dweeb in third grade!) – but, no, Polly is NOT looking at boys this summer!

Dad is screening her calls, won’t take Polly and Grace to the lake cabin this year, is behind with child support while driving that sports car. It’s enough to make a teen scream! Zziip, zzippp, zzip, there goes Xander again – no, Polly is NOT looking at boys this summer! (his smile is so nice….)

Summer. Romance? No way! Polly wants NO summer romances …. Zzipp, zzippp, zzippp…. 360 pages
